The Dragonheart Academy offers engaging, experience-based programs that teach students of all ages about reptiles, small animals, and horses through safe, guided, and interactive learning. Our goal is to nurture curiosity, build confidence, and create meaningful connections between people and animals.
Participate in hands-on activities such as basic reptile handling and care, understanding animal behavior, grooming and leading horses, and learning proper safety around animals of all sizes. Our guides provide clear, accessible education that blends science, animal husbandry, and practical skills.
Programs range from short, hourly and one-day visits to more in-depth weekend and seasonal offerings. Whether meeting gentle reptiles up close, helping care for our small animals, or learning the foundations of horsemanship, participants gain knowledge, responsibility, and an appreciation for the natural world.
At the Academy, learning is active, engaging, and designed to empower every participantto grow through connection, compassion, and real-world experience with the animals who share our lives.
Rescue • Rehabilitation • Second Chances
The Dragonheart Sanctuary is dedicated to providing safety, care, and rehabilitation for animals in need, including reptiles, equines, small animals, and farm animals. Many of the animals who arrive at the Sanctuary come from neglect, abandonment, medical issues, or situations where their previous owners could no longer provide appropriate care. Here, they receive the stability, attention, and skilled support required to heal and thrive.
Our team focuses on individualized rehabilitation—whether that means medical treatment, specialized diets, behavioral support, or simply time and patience in a safe environment. Horses learn to trust again, neglected reptiles receive proper habitat and veterinary care, and small and farm animals are given the space and comfort they need to recover.
Whenever possible, rehabilitated animals are placed into responsible, informed, and loving adoptive homes. For those who cannot be rehomed due to age, health, or behavioral needs, the Sanctuary becomes a lifelong refuge where they can live safely and comfortably.

Animal-Assisted Therapeutic Wellness Programs
Dragonheart Wellness provides supportive, animal-assisted experiences designed to promote emotional growth, confidence, stress reduction, and overall well-being. Through guided interactions with horses, small animals, and reptiles, participants learn to regulate emotions, develop communication skills, build trust, and reconnect with a sense of inner strength.
Our equine-assisted wellness sessions focus on groundwork, observation, relationship-building, and experiential activities that help clients explore boundaries, confidence, and personal resilience. The natural sensitivity of horses makes them powerful partners in developing self-awareness and emotional balance.
Sessions with reptiles and small animals offer a different type of therapeutic connection—teaching patience, responsibility, calmness, and mindful interaction.
